Biography
Vocalist Matte Andersson and drummer Erik Andersson (no relation) formed Godgory in August 1992 as a cover band playing songs by legends like Napalm Death and Entombed. Not until April '94 did they start writing and recording their own music. With the help of Dan Swanö (Nightingale, ex-Edge of Sanity) they recorded the imaginatively titled Demo '94. After receiving positive press in 'zines, Godgory re-entered Swanö's Unisound Studio in November '94 to record Sea of Dreams. Due to an unfortunate amount of setbacks, the album was delayed until Germany's Invasion Records finally picked up the disc and released it in January 1996.
