Biography
The Butterfly Effect originated in Brisbane, Australia with the independent release of a six-song EP in 2001. After drawing attention from the Austrailian radio station Triple J, the band partnered with the emerging independent record label Modern Music. This led to strong EP sales and a growing fan base. After a year of extensive touring of Australia, the band released the single 'Crave.' The band then entered the studio to record its debut full-length 'Begins Here,' which was released in August 2003. After touring Australia once again and selling over 25,000 copies of the album there, the band set its sights on Europe. Modern Music established distribution deals throughout Europe in August
