Biography
Japunga formed in 2001 and released an EP entitled 'Beginnings.' The band received some radio play and toured in support of the album, then entered the studio and recorded 'Light At Days End,' which was released in 2003. The band then toured Australia extensively, playing with well-known metal acts such as Slipknot, Machine Head, Sepultura, and Hatebreed. After two years of touring, the band focused on its second full-length, 'Souls Conflicting,' which was released in November 2005. The band recently played with Trivium, and are currently in the process of recording their third, as of now untitled, album.
