New Age Of Chaos Reviews

Vile are finally back with a new album, it took them long enough, the album is worth the wait though as it continues their natural progression of song writing with the technical prowess that doesn't leave you behind but makes you think. 'New Age Of Chaos' seems to be a title closely resembling so many but its clever depiction of a scimitar slicing the world in half revealing brains is just too death metal.

Like their previous efforts Vile know exactly how to mesmerize a death metal fan by doing so with the fancy of excellent musicianship. This musicianship allows the band to not go blast beat crazy with their sound and instead mixes things up a bit resulting in some finely fretted chops that any aspiring death metal musician would appreciate. It's the way it's done is what makes death metal bands like Vile the fine representations of death metal. Well familiar with the ways of melody through shredding speed, the album contains a lot of speed of course but in the midst of doing so they incorporate plenty of progressions that explode with evil and bloodied political themes. The band gives themselves chances to breathe, allowing for them to create open dissonance which once again fits all too well with their attack.

'A New Age Of Chaos' is a new age for Vile one that hopefully will bring about a quicker output of Vile material. Any death metal fan still engrossed in the genre should already know about Vile, if not then its time to brush up. It's not all too common that death metal still comes across as interesting these days but with Vile staying in the picture it keeps the genre on the front burner.
