A Flair For The Dramatic Reviews
The Equal Vision roster has its eyes set on a new rock band that will impress the hell out of people who are sick of hearing lame ass whiny rock groups that seem to flourish. Pierce the Veil has something on their side that most bands do not, a great sense of song writing. In any case a band like this would make me scowl but Pierce the Veil actually put forth the effort it takes to write good songs. The band's debut album on Equal Vision, "A Flair For The Dramatic" will be noticed by many and appreciated for its crisp details by the few.
These SoCal boys have learned from their surrounding peers as to what not to do when forming a mellow rock band. There are the aggressions throughout the album that give the album a tinge of dynamics and with the superb vocal duties handled by Vic Fuentes, the songs details just seem to come together really well. It's rare these days that we can find a band that has a flair for song writing as The Veil professes with their debut. We've all heard our fair share of garbage false emo bands and terribly put together light rock bands, and it's about time a band comes along that can really show those who fall short how it's done. The excellent production helps exemplify the band's attention to detail and gives a very bright effect to the whole album.
Pierce the Veil will only blow up in a matter of time and when they do people will actually catch a band that is worth their position in the music world.
